DESCRIPTION:

Ginn Reunion Resort a huge resort encompassing hotel and conference facilities, numerous villas, a spa and treatment centre, tennis courts and a massive waterpark was opened in 2006.

The resort has three world class championship golf coursesdesigned by none less thanArnold Palmer,Jack Nicklaus andTom Watson.

The Legacy Course, designed by Arnold Palmer, at 6,916 yards off teh back tees is the shortest, and supposedly the easiest,of the three. The big wide fairways look inviting. However, being laid out on hilly, roller coaster like terrain(there are elevation changes of up to 50 feet in some places) in combinationwith numerous huge and strategically placedbunkers creates asituation where club selection is citical andconsideration of the risk/reward is paramount to achieving a good score.

The Tradition Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is in stark contrast tothe other two courses. This parkland style course is smooth and flowing with elevated tee boxes, long wide fairways to elevated greens. Yet this is not an easy course, in fact it is the hardest! Designed to temp the golfer into going for the high risk shot with potentially big reward but potentially score wrecking consequences.

The Independence Course, designed by Tom Watson is considered to be the a mix of the other two, big, wide, rolling fairways, huge, strategically placed bunkers and massive undulating greens. Here club selection is everything to avoid the bunkers and position the ball on the green somewhere close to the pin.

All three courses are fantastically maintained and, with a variety of tee positions for each hole, all courses can be enjoyed bygolfers of all ability.

It has fairways of tifeagle and greens of bermuda grass, water hazards and lots of bunkers. The course is golf buggy only (no walking). Visitors are welcome.
