Does anyone have an idea where I can find out a bit of history with regards to a Hickory putter I purchased off Ebay. It has a wrapped leather grip, hickory shaft and the head has Hand Forged, Made in Scotland,Burnham Putting Cleek plus a star with "Special" stamped on the back of the blade.
It was purchased to mount in a cabinet for our end of year presentation to be put behind the bar at our Society pub.

There is a Society of Hickory Golfers (www.hickorygolfers.com). They might be able to give you some help.

While you're at it you could also ask them why they insist on using hickory clubs - the game's hard enough with modern equipment!
