Many thanks to Richard for being such a good host at Hintlesham Hall. A really nice course that is well worth a visit and an excellent match play game that went down to the very last putt on the 18th green. A birdie from Richard on the challenging 17th made it all square on the 18th tee which we agreed was fitting for such a tight contest. Richard had a brush with the water left of the 18th green whilst I was in the bunker front right. We both got to within 6 feet and Richard shaved the hole before I (very nervously) dropped in the side door to win. A review of the card over a pint in the clubhouse afterwards revealed that we both played to handicap so no surprise it was won by such a fine margin.
Matt won with the last putt on the last hole. Well played enjoyed your company in what was a very tight game. Play well in the Finalregards Richard
Thanks Gareth, your round of 80 deserved more! You're a top bloke and your company made it a great day. Please let me know when you get that sub 80 round. All the best, mate.
Mark Crane beat Gareth Heath 3&2. Despite a good round I could not compete with that short game today Mark - very well played and good luck in the final!
Congratulations on winning our match Gareth Heath. Good luck in the next round. Great game, well done!!
Gareth Heath beat Andy Attard 4&3 at Lullingstone Park. Andy played well and not sure I could repeat that front 9 (that won it for me) ever again. Well played Andy thoroughly enjoyed it!
Well played Richard, hope you have a good day in the semi, I`ve played with Matt, you will enjoy his company. Thanks for the day, good luck, Alan.

Many thanks Kevin, it was a great game to be a part of and could very easily have gone either way. I thought we both played well and thanks too to our playing partners Bill and Nick, a pleasure to play with all of you. High Elms was a great venue too.
Matt Taylor beat Kevin Gregory at High Elms today. It was nip and tuck most of the way but Matt started the 18th one up and finished two up as I ran out of whatever it was that got me that far! Good luck in the semi Matt, it was a pleasure watching and learning from one of the best golfers I've played with thus far.
Thank YOU, Damian. It was a great afternoon decided by a greenside bunker on the 18th. You're a top bloke & I look forward to seeing you again at The National Golf Show at Bluewater on the 16th November.
Mark Crane beat Damian Benstead 1 up. A great battle with never more than a hole in it. All square going down the last where Mark kept his head whilst I found sand. A deserved win. Thank you for a great afternoon at a lovely course. Good luck in the semi.
An excellent game Matt. Well played and good luck in the next round
Thanks to Adrian for a really nice afternoon at Lullingstone Park. I chose the venue and Adrian very sportingly guided me round as a first timer. Despite the weekend forecasts the sun was warm and the showers were timely i.e. only really got going after we finished and were enjoying a drink in the clubhouse. I got out of the traps like a Whippet and built an early lead but Adrian was unmoved and almost squared it by the turn. There was never much between us but we shook hands at 2 and 1 on the 17th and I feel very fortunate to have knocked out such a good player.

Gareth Heath beat Tuan Nguyen by two. A match that went both ways with the weather not being kind. Thank you very much Tuan - good company
Great game with Andy at Seaford Head. Views of the coast were far better than the view from the tee box once I'd hit my drive.....Good luck in the next round Andy...
Andy Attard won his match play against Richard Adinolfi..Great game and some great shots from Richard, but lost it on the tee box..looking forward to the next round..Thanks for the game Richard
