Worth a visit but a bit prices @ £60 look for a deal

Essendon NEW is over 6000 yards off the yellows a very mature tree lined parkland course with an easy undulating fairway walk, dogleg holes, fairway bunkers & water hazards therefore course management comes into play with true undulating greens.
The greens, fairways & bunkers were all in good condition but the 2nd cut was punishing due to the thickness. There was several long par 4’s. So if you’re a short hitter like me you will struggle to get there in 2.The driving range was a very long distance from the 1st tee with about 10 bays & prices. I would recommend using the large driving net next to the starter’s hut, with the practise putting chipping green & bunkers next door .Great Club house, friendly staff but service very slow. Overall a very good course will definitely play it again and worth a visit. I went on a corporate day, otherwise a bit prices @ £60 during the weekday look for a deal?

Excellent Course

Played Essendon Old Course on a sunny November day. Beautifully manicured appearance throughout, closely-mown lush fairways and greens in superb condition for the time of year. Every hole presented a different challenge with doglegs, strategically placed hazards and an abundance of mature trees - including one in the middle of the 16th fairway. Full practice facilities were available and a warm welcome was afforded by the receptionist and bar staff. An excellent all-round experience and one that will hopefully be repeated on a return visit to test out the New Course.

Brilliant Course

When you arrive, you know you have arrived...my ford focus looked out of place in the car park but once in the club house the welcome could not have been anymore friendly.

We played the old course and it was in top condition regardless of the wet... some hole of real beauty and challenge.

If you get the chance to go, take it.

Excellent course

Played the new course, which I found a bit on the short side, but the winter tees tend to be well forward. Would like to play off whites, as that would be a very good test - don't even consider playing off the blues!!. Greens were very good for time of year and fairways excellent - very dry considering all the rain we have had. Generous fairways for the most part. Almost all holes had two greens, one for summer, one for winter - very posh. Well worth a visit, and deals are aval, so ask. Bar has a great restaurant if you are in to Japanese food - authentic.

Mid week special

Having seen the Old Course on a previous occasion, this day was a chance to see the New Course. I liked the New Course, on balance, more than the Old Course, with many feature holes that just were nice to my eyes... steady old game got me round in a reasonable shape. The ground was a bit marly.. (clay-based mud) that was a bit sticky, so very little run on the ground at all...

Perfect day, and a good challenge. Clubhouse hospitality was excellent and I understand that the place is under new management... it'll be worthwhile keeping an eye open for special offers...

All in all a good day out - one to be recommended... whichever course you get to play...

Always enjoyable

Greens doing well over winter, helps that they have 2 per hole bar 3 holes. Very well maintained and never to busy.

Superb Course

This is Golf at it's best, played the old course which I reckon is the best one. Fairways very narrow and it's a must to stay on them as the rough is very hard to find a ball, great course to get a true handicap, surrounded by trees and the scenery is good too.

Decent course

Hatfield London is a decent course. The greens were in very good shape but the fairways were burnt out in many places. To be fair so are most other courses due to the summer drought we are experiencing. Price wasn't too bad at 38 GBP and they have a special during the week 48 GBP for a two ball which is a good deal. Good legnth from the back tees but any other tees shorten the course dramatically. Has a couple of quirky holes and some narrow fairways but overall I think it is worth a shot. I know I will be going back (as a two ball this time).

Class A+ Golf Club!!

As soon as you drive into this place, you know this is one classy joint!!! Surrounded by statues at a very attractive venue, the Grounds are steeped in History, and the course is a great one to play. The 15th is a Par 3 with a massive pond between the tee and the green, very attractive. Great Value if you use the 2fore1 vouchers!! Only fault is I've never seen greens this fast, EVER!!! This is a MUST, if you live in the South East or London area!!
