DESCRIPTION:

Broke Hill Golf Club, established in 1993 and located near Sevenoaks in Kent, was a popular parkland course set within gently rolling countryside, easily accessible from the M25 and A21. The 18-hole, par 72 course was known for its immaculate fairways, water hazards, and mature trees that lined the fairways, offering a picturesque yet challenging round.

While the club is no longer in operation, its beautiful setting and legacy live on in the local community. Nearby attractions include the historic Chartwell House and the scenic walks of the Kent Downs, ensuring the area remains a draw for visitors.

definitely worth playing

We got a discounted tee time and only paid £22 for golf with ham egg n chips after. Worth every penny obviously, but not sure about the price with normal prices.

Practice facilities looked rather unwelcoming, and the practice green was all on a fair slope, so couldn't get a feel for the weight of putt needed on the flat.

Been much rain in the days before our game, and the course held up very well.No puddles except the ponds.
There are tree lined tee shots, and tee shots with almost hidden ponds to find. A very fair track which bites the really poor shots, forgives some not quite good shots, and rewards for the good shots. Isn't that what golf is meant to be?

All in all, a great day out and only just off of J4 M25, so it is easy to find too.
Play it you'll love it

Nice parklande course

Played here in the Crown Golf League off the Blue tees. Course was in a good condition despite the winter we have had. The sand in the bunkers was very heavy, which doesn't help my dig you ball out approach! Well worth a visit.

Lovely course, grumpy welcome

First the good. The greens were really nice for the time of year, given the winter we've just had (and still seem to be having). The course itself is pleasant enough for the front nine, and then adds a bit more interest on the back. I'd say it's a fair test for most handicaps, not too tough, but with enough hazards to punish the wayward. As others have mentioned, the front is pretty flat, while the back isn't really too strenuous.

The bad was the welcome in the pro shop. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, but as a first point of contact I've had plenty better. This was a shame as the clubhouse is really lovely and the staff there were really pleasant.

The bunkers weren't the best. Too many footprints and sand obtained from a builders yard. I guess the best thing to do is to stay out of them!

It's borderline whether it's a little pricey (green fee and food), but get a good deal and I think you'll enjoy your round here.

Too wet for a proper review

It was a washout all day, but I managed to plot my way round with a rescue club off the tee on the shortish par-4s from the yellows. Looked a nice course and one i'd return to in decent weather when I'd be looking to post a good score.

Nice course.........

All in all, I enjoyed this course. A flat-ish parkland layout, it is tight in places and as such does not always require the driver.....and not using the driver helped my game!! The course was well maintained and the greens were in good condition. Green fees are possibly a little high at £38 but fair with a Openfairways card(£19). Would definitely recommend a visit - I will be back!

Customer service lacking

What's with the attitude of the staff in the pro shop?
Either arrogant or incompetent dependant which one you get!
Nice condition with good greens.
Mixture of hazards with mature trees.
Par 3's very bland. With a bit of effort they could spice them up.
Overall a nice course to play.

Friendly club, great course

Played here with some friends on Friday 17th August using the 'Open Fairways' discount (so £20 per person green fee).

Club is friendly, course is interesting, with nice size, well protected greens (I certainly visited one or two bunkers...) and the course is generally well maintained. The only criticism would be that the greens on the front 9 needed a bit of a haircut (not bad by any means but perhaps needed a cut). All in all a great little find.
