Marriott Tudor Park Hotel & Country Club

Course in excellent condition as it is each time I've played here , greens first class .Good fish and chips.
Only complaint , bacon rolls were stone cold !

Tudor Park is a tough course, if its windy you'll be very lucky to shoot par. Many blind tee's with very fast undulating greens. To three putt from 10 feet is very easy.

I played quite well but felt beat up by the greens. The par fives are long even off the yellows, miss the fairway and your ball is sitting down in penal rough.

The greens were running at about 12 on the stimpmeter and with the wind it was easy to go 6 foot past on a 3 foot putt.

The staff could not have been more helpful and the food was very good. The layout of the hotel complex is shocking with parking very difficult. The signage on the course is also very vague so be careful not to play off the wrong tees.

I liked the course though the 7th is a very short par 3, it played less than a hundred yards but impossible to stop a shot on it, out of 24 players only three got it on the green...a crazy golf hole!

I will return to this gem but I hope on not such a windy day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Tudor Park despite the very wet conditions encountered during at least 10 of the 18 holes. The disappointment was that there were a lot of late drop-outs in terms of group numbers but I thoroughly enjoyed the company of those who made it. The reception by the pro shop and catering staff was very good. The course was well laid out and particularly challenging for the first time of playing; impacted by a few blind shots up to raised greens and the wet conditions which made consistent ball-striking more difficult particularly from the rough. I think most players found the pace of the greens difficult also but also they played much firmer and less receptive than I have experienced recently at my club Cherry Lodge and others! A reasonably good score was in prospect but I didn't play any of the par 3's well in terms of GIR's and 'b***s it up' from 'good' positions on three other holes. All in all it was great VFM and I would love to play it again in dry/summer conditions. Catering was excellent both before and after the round. I also availed of the shower facilities post match and could have also enjoyed the pool if I had been so inclined.

Lovely course with some testing holes. Was in great condition, beautifully lush, with fast and true greens. Definitely worth another visit.

This is a parkland course.
It has some tight holes and some water hazards as well.
Greens good.

Practice facilities good - driving range not long enough to use woods/driver. It has a practice chipping and bunker area as well as a putting green.

Service in Zest restaurant was great.

Will play again.

tees and greens very good but the fairways let this course down a little........... still we played this on an open fairways 2 for 1 deal so cant moan to much :-)

Played here with a few friends on Sunday morning as part of a birthday celebration. They accept Open Fairways during the week (giving 2 for 1 green fee rates) but accept 2-fore-1 vouchers all week. So the £40 per head for a Sunday morning (not bad in its self) was reduced to an excellent £20 per head.

Although maybe a bit short (5,715 yards off the yellow tees) the course is well laid out with an interesting mix of holes, and well maintained with greens in excellent condition (especially considering it hasn't rained for weeks). Some of the views across the surrounding countryside are fantastic and, all in all, I thoroughly recommend it (especially at £20 !)
