Well worth a visit

My visit to Bicester Golf Club was very enjoyable. I stayed over night at the hotel. The deal I got was pretty good it included evening meal and breakfast.
The hotel is very comfortable and the food for the main meal was very good. The breakfast was average at best.
The course is not long at 5940 off the yellows. But boy ...it ain't easy.
The first hole has a very tight fairway and that starts you off. the greens were sanded and spiked but still ran true. And they were fast in places. Very undulating.
If you got on the wrong side of the greens getting down in two was a real effort.
The bunkers and there are loads, have very fine sand in themclub head speed is the answer.
14 & 15 are tough holes and need careful course management.
All in all avery nice course. I did not play well which didn't help.
I will certainly return, I'll play the course differently next time.
The staff and owner could not be more helpful.
