DESCRIPTION:

The Springs Golf Club, located in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, is a beautiful 18-hole parkland course with a par of 72, stretching 6,470 yards. Designed by former Ryder Cup captain Brian Huggett and established in 1998, the course is set in stunning countryside and features lakes, mature trees, and well-maintained greens. The layout requires strategic play, with water hazards coming into play on several holes, including the signature par-4 9th hole, which requires a precise tee shot over a lake. The club also offers a modern clubhouse and excellent practice facilities.

Close to the A4074, The Springs Golf Club is easily accessible from Oxford, Reading, and surrounding areas.

Nearby attractions include the historic town of Wallingford and the scenic River Thames, making it a great spot for golf and relaxation.

Pleasant parkland course

Situated between Oxford and Reading The Springs Spa and Golf course is a good venue for golf society golf breaks. The parkland course is flat, with mostly wide fairways though many holes featured either numerous bunkers or water (or both!). We found it to be the right standard for our group of 60/70 yr olds. The course was in reasonable condition. We were accommodated in cabins a few 100yds from the clubhouse which were comfortable and well equipped. The dinner menu was not extensive and pretty average quality and the breakfast choice a bit basic. The staff were helpful and very friendly.
Our group booked via Golfbreaks at a cost of £165 sharing /£200 single.
Overall maybe a 6.5 out of 10!
