Great but challenging course

Greens were excellent -- some if you got above the hole on the slopes were nearly impossible to 2 putt.
If you drive it well and straight off the tee and keep OUT of the penal, long grass rough, you can score.
Par 3's are long and difficult -- hit the greens, 2 putt and take a 3 on ALL of them...….out of 60 in the field, only 4 2's all day on the Parr 3's !!!
Lamb shanks, mash potato and Eton mess for dinner all lovely !!
great day, very good course !

Beautiful course in great condition

Greens were only hollow tined and top dressed about 10 days ago, even so, greens putted beautifully. Course played fabulously, magnificent condition as it always seems to be and outside patio/dining area, with all new furniture, was brilliant for the BBQ dinner that followed. Excellent day all around !

Shotgun start Comp day

Lovely sunny day, course presented in pretty fine fettle -- greens could be a little better, some seem to be a little infected.... a LOT of putts run straight, not too many breakers. Some parts of the course could be better manicured and better presented on the whole it was perfectly nice. Didn't use any practise facilities except the putting green, which ran true and similar speeds to the greens. Clubhouse was friendly, food was good...…. overall a very good experience.... except we didn't win !!!

Good course -- great value for money

I was a member at Holtye for 3 years, a couple of years ago -- its a great little course, very tight so do not bother if you are very wayward off the tees... you cannot score, if you cannot hit the fairway. Greens ran very well and very uniform over the 9 greens. lots of trees line the fairways from hole 3 onwards and can play havoc with your scores... chip out and start again is the only way to go !!! Cracking value at £15 for 18 holes on one of the many 'tee times' deals that are out there

Excellent condition -- beautiful

I was a member here for 4 years, some time ago -- I have never seen it in better nick.... absolutely beautiful; fairways lush, green and beautifully mowed. Greens were fast and true, and just about at 90% having only had work done about 10 days ago.... give it another week or so and they will be 95% or better --- weather was sunny and warm. Thoroughly recommended I wish I was still there as a member, easily one of the best kept and most scenic courses in the South East
