The Victoria Course whichopened in 2004 isnow part of the Oceanico Golf Group.
The Victoria was the fith course to be built on the Vilamoura Resort and when built it was certainly the most ambitious.With a visionto make it one of the best golf projects in all Europe the original owners are reputed to have spent €18 million on the development.
The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and is an impressive layout on relativelyflat landwith a series of man made mounds constructed to add a sense of movement to the fairway, several man-made lakes, waterfalls, clever integration of natural hazards and numerous bunkers combining to make a challenging but visually impressive and fun golf course. During development every care was taken to ensure preservation of the natural wetlands plus the indigenous vegetation or Carob, Olive and lmond trees.
Today the Victoria Clube de Golfe is themost exclusive golf clubon the Villamoura Resort. It was host to the Portugal Masters 2007-2009 and is well on its way to becomingtheAlgarve’s and Portugal’s major venue for top international tournaments.
Visitors are welcome and a series of five tees means the course can be appreciated by golfers of all ability. Contact club to make arrangements
