Well maintained Mytime course

Orpington Golf Centre has several courses - I play the 18 hole Cray Valley course on a regular basis. It's very playable, and the greenkeepers are working very hard to improve it. All the basics are there - rough kept under control, fairways regularly cut, greens treated appropriately, which of course brings it's own problems trying to play them after hollow-tining etc. Tee boxes could do with some work, it can be difficult to find an even, level area to tee up on. The paths had some temporary repairs made during lockdown and are ok, not brilliant. The clubhouse is very tired and needs replacing - the ladies toilets often reduced to just 1 working. The food is fine, except they have staff shortages which means you often can't get hot food, or any food, after 2.30 p.m. The staff they have, in the clubhouse and the pro shop all very pleasant, but maybe not enough of them. The members are very friendly and yes, I'm a member!

Course in excellent condition

First time at Cray Valley and impressed by the layout and the condition. Not the most difficult of tracks, even for high handicappers.

definetly above average

I play this course often. Its a good test for most golfers. most of the par 3s are reachable with a 7 iron. some tees are high.most holes are visible from the tees so your not playing blind although some extra signage would help locating the next tee.there is a driving range but its on the lower course which is a shame.the people are friendly and the breakfast was nice.all in all a good day

Average course

Ruxley Park course.

This is a very hilly course.

The tees and fairways were in a poor to average condition.

Greens were good but very slow to putt on, so I left many putts well short.

Given a choice I would play the other course (Cray Valley) which is 200 yards up the hill

No frills, no problem

I often play the 9 holes course here. Its easy to get on and its very informal. Fairways are mostly open with few hazzards. Its a great place to improve your game without the pressure of more "formal" courses. Also, all greens are playable during winter.
