Goodwood offers two superb golf courses. The Downs Course and the Goodwood Park course. The Downs Course is generally accepted as being one of the premier golf courses in Britain. It provides a challenge, even to the more experienced golfer. Not only does the course test every aspect of play, it is thought to be one of the most beautiful and spectacular, nestled between the South Downs and the Solent with dramatic views across the landscape. This par 72, 6,530yard course is set in 150 acres of countryside on the Goodwood Estate and was designed in 1892. The Goodwood Park course designed in 1987 by renowned golf architect Donald Steele, lies within the parkland surrounding Goodwood House. The Championship par 72 golf course at 6650 yards, has been carefully designed to blend in with the splendid surroundings of the Estate. Providing a test for both experienced golfer and those new to the game, this combined with the facilities and service standard for which Goodwood is renowned make Goodwood Park the perfect golfing location.
