Middle of no'Ware', but worth the hunt!

Had not played Whitehill for many years, and it was better than memory served.
The condition of the course is really good, no point picking any part out, but will say the greens are quicker than you may be used to - and the members think they are slow at present!
Played the course 'backwards' and found that the second nine (my first) is a little tougher. My playing partner had a few little problems as being a lefty (yep, one of them ??) had a few shots that didn't come back in bounds after his standard 'banana shot' got sucked into OOB.
If you get the chance, go play it. Be warned, mobiles find it a bit of a dead zone, so download the map to your device beforehand, or hope you find someone to direct you!

well worth a visit

whitehill is a very well kept and laid out course, there are a lot of blind shots on the course so a course planner is advisable,i found the only fault was the bunkers, the quality of sand was indifferent,(even though i had no problems).I thought the greens were very good,a good pace and well cut.All in all a good days golf

Good challenge - with oportunity to do well

Whitehill Golf Club is an interesting parkland course, challenges at most holes and opportunities to hit some high numbers. There are some hills (hence the name) so if you think you need a buggy then you probably will. Clubhouse is friendly and well equipped, car parking is adequate and it's quite local to me.. well worth the trip I'll be back there next week.

Whitehall

Very spotty fairways with a lot of thin lies, but in fairness to the course I played in April before the course had time to fill in. Greens are IMPOSSIBLE to hold, you have to play bump and run here. Beautiful setting but you should allow at least an hour to find the course the first time. You can cut that down to 25 minutes the 2nd time.
