great course, a true test of shot making

Course was is very good condition today and the greens were excellent. stay on the fairway as the rough is deep.

Lots of left to right and right to left shots required to score well.

Nice layout , over priced !

Woodland manor is a nice course and to be fair we probably didn't get to play it at its best. The layout is good and challenging with some long par 4's.The greens today were very poor and super slow, I think they had been cored a couple of weeks ago and have been left to grow over which resulted in all the greens being long and fluffy. I would like to play the course again just to see how good the greens might be, at £37 for today it was overpriced. Interestingly enough the course was empty on a warm sunny Saturday afternoon ??
Club house was very poor with very little choice plus the kitchen shut at 4pm ? missed opportunities to encourage people to come back.

Rusper 1st Game of the year

Rusper is a very tough test and not best payed in the wet as you get no carry on the ball on what is already a long course.

I enjoy this type of course as you have to think about where to land the ball to give yourself a chance.

can;t wait to play it later in the year when the weather has dried the course out.

Cottesmore - GRIFFIN

This is the club I am a member of and i highly recomend it as Cotttesmore has 2 courses and is a member of crown golf so other option are open to you.I ahve played this course in all types of weather and the dry months it is especailly good as you have to place the ball and think your way round. This makes for a very enjoyable game of golf.

I have scored the course down a bit due to the wet weather recently.Considering the amount of rain and snow it palyed quite well. You had to be on the fairway each time to have a chance as they drained well but off the fairway would cost you a shot.

The greens were slow due to the wetness, overall though well worth a visit as I probably played it at its worse and it played very well if you were on the fairway.I would advise taking the extra shot to stay on the short stuff as chipping out always costs you dear.
