About me:
Well there is a lot I could say ..... and sometimes there's not a lot too say, but I do love my golf and will play with anyone weather your a single handicap or 36...
I'm all about having fun whilst playing and making new friends along the way, so I'll
I agree with everything that roly has said, the fairways and the 1st cut seemed in too many places the same, green were too slow and that un'even i might as well have putted on the motorway and they were smoother..... I wont be there again until someone tell me diffrent
Most players do like playing Gatton Manor, but i would now put this one just before that course, £16.50 for a weekday or a 2 ball playing for £8.25 each when using open fairways card you cant go wrong ever at this course. The course is a test on all levels and you do need a good short game as there are some serious approach shots to be made... Remember they only sell chips upstairs and not down in the den.......Just to let you know the WATERFALL course has gone back to members ONLY
Well from the time you drive through the gates you know your going to enjoy the course, regardless of what you may or may not score....The course has all the facilities and with all the rain we've had the course was about 85% in perfect condition and the greens were fast and god help us all in the summer....I will go back hopefully before the march open game...Ps top inland links course
Well from the time you set foot out of the car, you know your going to going to enjoy your days golf..... The course was in fantastic condition and the greens were A+.... A course that is part of a hotel i must admit its one of the best i've ever played, there are 2 courses and i intend playing the east within the next couple of months.... The course is for all levels of golfers with HUGE fairways, but the trouble begins on the greens as no 2 or holes are the same but are tricky.... The course was looked after by a starter and a marshall that make regular visits, also its because at present you have to keep carts to the path, so i enjoyed walking the course.... A great place to have a society day out, A MUST VISIT
Well as it was my 1st time, the course was in good nick and is one to visit in the summer, but even with all the bad weather the greens were very true and fast. I will go back later in 2009
Well i managed to play here about 18 months ago and today was just as nice, just a touch colder.... The whole course is being revised with some very tricky bunkers, that will and should be ready for the summer, so if you have played it before it will be well worth the visit in 2009.... Great course to have a society day
A course with not too many hazzards, but tricky greens with un-seen breaks, and fairly quick even in these conditions, so take over the putts. Only played there twice this year, but i do feel the best time to play it is in the summer as is most courses, 10th - 14th holes can help you or break your score card. I will be posting games there in 2009
I cant believe you think this course is that good, i played there a few months ago in a county competition and we didn't find one player who liked it, the layout was so so bad crossing over all the time, way too many out of bounds and thank god i've never got to go there again, no enjoyable and golf is to be that, there are so many courses near to this one that are so MUCH BETTER
Go and play and make your own mind up, its like playing 2 complete different course, front 9 open, 2nd 9 tree lined and needs to be plotted and not just smashed around
I'm not going to spoil it by telling you much, but it was worth £25 and even better coz i won 1st 9 and overall. I will be posting another game there before the end of the year, infact 2 games
The course was in fantastic condition and i was pleased with my 34 point off 12. Its a private club, but if you get the chance to go there you will enjoy it and you'll also be glad to know not too many hazzards
The course is in perfect condition and i will be going back there before the year finishes. The fairways are like new carpets and the green and slick and they hold any ball that arrives on them.
Its a great place for friends to get together and if your holding a society day, i would recommend this course and the staff go out of their way to look after everyone, well worth the money and i'll be back there again to take a few friends
Well i have been here twice this year and on both dates, the course was fine, but sadly today was and is my last visit for the year. The fairways are fine, greens are in such a bad state i couldn't believe it unless i didn't see it for myself and the bunkers well, more like stone holes and are so hard or with water in them and of course full of stones( where was the sand ). I have to admit SUNBURY GOLF COURSE is about 10 times better which is a shame. SACK SOMEONE, I WOULD WITH THE GREEN KEEPERS.
The course as a whole is in good condition, but i think it could do with some water on the fairways as they are too dry == The course is looking a little like a links course without all the bumps and it does look fine == for a public course the green are good and pretty quick == i'll be posting another game there sometime in august
Anyone who is just staring the game of golf, should know not only have you missed out of so much years of fun, but should try out the phoenix first. But if your already a player or just getting back into the game after a break then griffin is for you.
What more can i say other than, the green keepers are doing a FANTASTIC job and so far this is the best course i've played in 2008. Some holes may seem straight forward, but you still have to plot your way through and between the bunkers.
With all the bad weather that has been on out doorstep, you'll be pleased to know that the course is playing pretty well, a few more days of sunshine and it will be VERY GOOD
Well where do i start, fairways could do with some grass and alot of the greens are in such a bad state, we should be paid to play on them.
Greenkeepers should stop chopping down tress and concern themslves with the state of their greens, also players need to start using pitch repairs, otherwise you will loose all your vistors after 1 visit
