Finally got to play my local course nearest to where I work. Paid £27.50 for their after 2pm rate on a Thursday (normally £40 which is definitely over the top. I would say this is a £30 -£35 course). Pretty course without being overly memorable. 1st nine not too challenging and then a few narrower fairways where accuracy is more important. Fairways have suffered badly in the summer and were very bare on most of them. Greens however were the best I have played all year well maintained, great condition and very true (I had 9 one putts and only 1 three putt). Didnt use the clubhouse hence no score but the people I met were very friendly. Enjoyed the round and played to my handicap which is always a bonus. Will go back next summer for the twilight rate

Enjoyable course to play. Fairways very dry but greens in superb condition. Bunkers poor with little sand and stones in them. Not what I would expect from a course that charges a normal rate of £100 on a Saturday. I paid a society rate of £50 but would only pay that once or twice a year. Have played better courses for less.

Fairways very dry, tee boxes poorly maintained. Very little sand in the vast and many bunkers made shots very difficult to judge. Shame because its a nice enough course. Err off the fairway and you will not find your ball in the unforgiving rough

Though not the most challenging of courses Pine Ridge is a beautiful course which is immaculately maintained and a joy to play especially on the sunniest of days. Will definitely play again
