Great place

I thoroughly enjoyed playing golf and relaxing at the Bletchingley clubhouse. The social golfer day was another fantastic event.

Great Course well worth a visit

Silkstone is a great course for days out, not sure I would like to play it every week but having said that it's well worth a visit, the clubhouse is welcoming, excellent practice facilities in different parts of the course for chipping and putting. The driving range is easily accessible too...

The day I played it played really long with no run at all, therefore making it a slog but I was really impressed with the layout, no 2 holes the same and sometimes it got a bit disorienting looking at adjacent holes wondering if you'd already played them...

Would I recommend yes I would, think it's an ideal venue for societies and trips away...

Going Abroad? Visit Fuerteventura

I run a disability golf trip every year and 2023 was the best trip ever we stayed at the Elba Carlota Beach & Convention Resort and played golf at Fuerteventura Golf Club.

The course was amazing, with greens in great condition, fairways, and semi-rough all excellent it made for 4 days of great golf. Buggies were needed as very hot.

The only downfall was the edges of the course needed some TLC but to say that the course is built on a Volcanic island I don't think they do too badly.

The website says the slope is 126 however when on site the board says 138, I asked the Pro why? this is what he said and I quote "If we put 138 on the website nobody will come"

That made me chuckle.

Highly recommended anyone to visit both the golf and the hotel because both are EXCELLENT.

Great Venue

Played in the TSG Masters on my first visit to The Heron Golf Club, the location was easy to find, and my first impressions were good.

The clubhouse was excellent and the food looked great, practice facilities were everything you need before a round. Being disabled the Pro-shop set up the buggies so we could go on the fairways which was impressive despite the wet condition of the course.

The course was wet so the greenkeepers were limited in what they could do, however, you can see the potential of a great course.

The holes were challenging but with a bit of run would have been easier. The greens were good, running true however, some slow, some fast but that was down again to the weather we have just had.

Would I visit again ABSOLUTELY... hopefully when the course is dry and the green staff can get to do what they do best!

Great Course well worth a visit...

The course was in excellent condition for February, looking forward to returning in spring especially to play the massive greens that look to have many undulations that will test any golfers putting skills.. The course itself is well laid out with no two holes the same, none of this up and down like many courses. The bunkers and hazards are well placed so a bad shot or wrong club selection can easily trap you, but a wayward shot off the fairway can be easily found as the rough is short, just enough to punish you but not cost you time in looking for ball...

All in all its a great course what I call value for money, the clubhouse too was welcoming and the food was excellent. The driving range is great for warming up, buggies are reasonably priced but the course is an easy walk.. Perfectly located just off the A1 at Pontefract this course is a MUST play...

Great course to play in winter

Fairhaven Golf Club in Lancashire is a great place and a qualifying course for The Open. We played in winter with the fairways looking a bit rough but after all the rain it's to be expected.

The design of this golf course is excellent and a challenge for all levels, highly recommended. Can't wait to return next summer.

Great experience from start to finish.

My first visit to West End Golf Club in Halifax, Yorkshire and I couldn't be happier!

We were so well looked after from booking phone call to leaving the car park, making for a great day's golf.

We booked a buggy which was waiting for us on arrival, and the Golf Pro made a special point of coming out to tell us the greens had been hollow-tined and weren't at their best.

However, once we got the pace of the Greens (they were a bit slow) both Tony and myself scored better, after all, we are now into autumn golf.

The members we met were all very welcoming, even the green keeper made an effort to explain some restrictions for the buggy, then chatted about the course, explaining some of the places to avoid.

The course was a good challenge with fiive very different par 3's.

I'd thoroughly recommend a visit to this well-maintained friendly club.

After golf we had a nice meal in the clubhouse again very welcoming overall a great experience just how a golf club should be!

Great course greens were brilliant

Everything about the day was great, the views, fairways and greens excellent. Tee boxes needed attention but was end of season. Best greens of 2022 well worth a visit.

Nice to see an Old Style Golf Club

Wortley Golf Club is a parkland course where almost every hole has its own character, there is no up and down holes, the greens were probably the best Ive played on this year, running true and fast. It's a short course but a challenge to any handicap. The clubhouse in its day would have been the envy of any club, glad to say they've kept their tradition, spent over an hour just looking at the history of the club.

The hospitality was great from the pro-shop to the catering staff, excellent food and was made to feel very welcome, would highly recommend a visit.

Great course with old values

Low Laithes Golf Club is in the heart of West Yorkshire. I have been a member here for a number of years and this is a great course that challenges any golfer. The clubhouse is old and needs attention but I would recommend people to play this course. Highly recommend!

Worth playing but tough walk

Mytton Fold has fantastic views but the course is a hard walk - However I recommend that people play this course - it has small greens so having a good short game is important. The top 3 holes have fantastic views and on a clear day you can see Blackpool Tower. Hotel is really good and welcoming.
