Fairways and greens were good, some nice holes especially the downhill par 3's , one drawback though, lots of G.U.R. on virtually every hole in what used to be bunkers, with big mounds of earth in them...therefore not worth £34 green fee.
Even muddier than Farleigh, course marshal told us the bunkers were out of play, and to free drop outside, lots of G.U.R., fairways ok, greens ok, clubhouse ok....breakfast was good, good value for £25.
Muddy course, front nine greens covered in sand(being treated), starter Marshall rude, Clubhouse 5 star, excellent breakfast, polite staff, newly refurbished with Golf simulator, Poker table, Pool table, really plush...
Oh dear, would probably be much better in the summer.....
Staff unwelcoming, bacon rolls terrible, too much mud between tees, waterlogged fairways, bunkers were more like ponds, practice area too far away from clubhouse....
Otherwise, nice log fire in clubhouse, good greens, nicely set out holes, good company from SES and Epping Bandits.
Clubhouse good, nice breakfast, £4.50 for fry up, that includes coffee/tea.
Course not bad in difficult conditions, very frosty so greens were very diificult to play, fairways not bad in light of the conditions, would be great in the summer.
