Very friendly staff and ordered a 18 hole breakfast which even i couldn't Finnish
The course didn't look a old and established course but looked very forgiving . I was right . The par threes wasn't that long but testing some par 4's you didn't need your driver and you had to think about each shot par 5's even i could reach in 3 which makes a change and for October the greens were in excellent condition . True but fast . Plenty of room if you missed the fairway some water on the course which made it interesting
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the condition It isn't the best course I've played this year but by no means the worst
Would definitely go back and would definitely look foward to it

Played this for second time and enjoyed it so much more than the first time
Bar staff really friendly , course was in top notch nick ((so it should consider the weather we've had)
Couldn't fault the course and we had a deal on a Saturday afternoon and was total value for money
You get a chance to play this course .... play it you won't be disappointed ... very traditional but testing round of golf

Played the course when it should be absolutely perfect! Ple of rain plenty of sunshine! Infact they were hollow tinning the greens in August. Really enjoyed the breakfast really enjoyed the course interesting holes and you have to think about every shot
Played ug twice now 8 out of ten on both times

Firstly dont be confused by the "golf and country club". it aint that grand! clubhouse a littl dated but does the job of serving a drink and a sandwich
The course..... For January i thought it was i great nick. Not a long course which suited me and some tight interesting holes. having said all of that soon as i hit the m25 i couldnt remember a single hole! For 20 quid with a bacon roll and a cup of cofee you would do very well to find a better deal in the winter. Definitely go back again and i dont say that to often

What a lovely course! Shame it was in bloody awful condition.I really enjoyed the course , some great holes with some spectacular views. Very long course for me (being November every course us long for me)Most par 4's i was hitting driver 5 wood and 9 iron.Loads of sand on the greens where they were treating them (no money back on our green fee)plenty of sand in bunkers and i found a few of them.Fairways were reasonable for November very fogiving course Would like to play again in the summer. Was it worth the round trip of 230 miles from Norwich and back Mmmm Yes i think so. Pleased i played it.For a municipal course one of the best ive played Well worth a visit 7/10 There you have it!

Second time ive played brentwood this year and i enjoyed it just as much as the first time.Not a long course but you have to think about each shot.Greens were excellent for october fairways were good and bunkers also had decent amount oc sand in. Saturday afternoon £27 not cheap but worth paying a extra fiver for a decent course. A little busy but still very enjoyable. played alot of courses in essex this year and i think this is in my top 3 so far just behind bentley golf club and south essex (still to play toot hill though)Would definitely recommend Brentwood golf club and will return early next year 8.5 out of 10

Food was nice, staff was nice,course was nice..... NICE is the right word not fantastic not rubbish but NICE . Long course very well maintained but i call this a corprate course not a members course. Greens were excellent for October bunkers were good but no real outstanding hole. I will go back again maybe next year but not in a hurry to rush back.
The course was NICE!!!

I was looking foward to playing this course and i have to say i was a little disappointed. It didnt really present much of a challenge and i cant remember one stand out hole.Very wide fairways so you shouldnt lose any balls, greens ok on the hole it is a ok course but thats it 5 out 10 wouldn't be tempted to go back in a hurry

Royal ascot sounds very grand, untill you play the course. Not bad not fantastic.A 7 out of 10 for me.With all the prestigious courses in a 5 mile raduis (the berkshire,wentworth,suningdale) You woulx think Ascot would be pretty special. Not really. Dont get me wrong the greens were very well manicured and exceptional fast (think i 3 puted 4 times and 4 putted twice)It made a change to play bunker shors with actual sand in them.Fairways were very poir though I did pllay in a chairty day so it was worth playing. would i rush back to play it......NO.i think in a years time when i re visit it the course will be in better nick

Awesome course. Firstly i played well and when you play well you like the course, having said that i 3 putted on 7 greens but the greens were excellent,out of 10 i will gice it a 9! it is a fantastic parkland members course.If you are after a championship course then this aint one for you.Very well looked after great dog legs where you have to think about your tee shot , tight in places ,but rewarded with bravery. Do i prefer bentley or Abridge? I have to say Bentley,and for 20 quid for twighlight great value for money. woulx a pay £45 maybe not. if you get a deal take it well worth a visit.im definitely coming back before the winter sets in

beutifull setting ,very tight course where you have to think about your shots. However, course wasnt maintained properly. fairways wasn't even cut, tee boxes were awful,Greens were ok though. i paid a twighlight green fee of £19 where it should be £27.50. Even £19 was to much. The correct price for this course in this condition shoild be £15
