In my OPINION the Best Course I've played in North London/ Hertfordshire

Porters Park is a members club...
Well Kept,, clean and tidy with plenty of challenges. Long holes with a river that snakes around most of the holes
Green Fees are £85 played with a member so greatly reduced price...
If you get a chance play it
Excellent Course

Course In Great Condition

I was hoping to see Nick Faldo and ask him for a few tips. Apparently he wasn't there today...
However the course was in good nick.. and the Bacon ?? roll was up to scratch....
My only grip or moan was the noise from the A1,,, on the opening holes ..
Otherwise a great course

Decent Course,

Ash Valley in the heart of Hertfordshire.
Fantastic views over the sweeping countryside.
Open your shoulders and swing the driver. But stay on the fairway.
Rough is brutal and ankle deep, finding the ball can be difficult.
Greens, hard fast and small. You need to be good to stop them.
Good hilly course. Designed to keep us fit and healthy.
Craic was good and topped of with a decent cold beer on a hot afternoon.
Will sleep tonight

Fantastic Course

This is a course, I will play again, You cant just turn up and blast the ball all over the course, it will eat your balls,,,
The back 9 I found really quirky, very tight and hedges in the middle a number of fairways. I wasnt sure if Red Rum or the Patrick McGoohan, the Prisoner with a Big Bouncy Beach ball was going to make an appearance really enjoyed the hours spent playing and the craic was good too.
Come and play and see for yourself.

A Great Golf Challenge

When you stand on any of the Tees this looks like a benign course, there appears to be few hazards in your way, the fairways are wide and inviting, you dont notice the odd bush or tree or slope thats there to catch your ball.
This is not a shoot or blast course, the first time you play this course unless you have an exceptional day, you will feel like retiring from golf. This course reflects the books of Rohal Dahl a Buckingham chap I believe, like his books appearing gentile and inviting but with plenty of twists and turns and a few stings in the tail.
Come and enjoy and don't get too frustrated at the first time you play.
