Nice lynx course, bunkers in good condition, greens very good. Go off the fairways & the rough is punishing, but that's golf!! Will play here again

Public park land course which at first sight looks nice. The fairways are in good condition. The bunkers lacked sand, and the greens were in a very poor state with the exception of the 17th & 18th. Some nice holes, but the course is in need of some serious work. We paid £26 to play, I wouldn't rate it worth more than £12. Unlikely to return.

The course was in good condition, apart from some bunkers which were GUR due to be water logged. The course it's self does not seem to difficult, that said I made a pigs ear of playing it. I was invited to play here as a guest, which cost a bargain £25; however, I have rated the value as a 2, because I personally don't think it's worth £2k a year. I would gladly play here again, at the guest rate.

As Ed has said below, the fairways were in poor condition, and the bunkers resembled mud holes in most cases, that said they had had a week of rain the previous week, and with the course being on hills, naturally the water/rain had caused problems. The greens were good, very fast. On one green the balls were speeding up when putting up hill!!

I enjoyed all 3 courses but as can be seen from the scores everyone struggled (in our group we had handicaps ranging from 28 (should have been 128) down to 7, but the highest legitimate Stableford score was 27.

Eds tip of “using the local contours of the course your ball will go a long way” actually means miss-hit your T shot 50 yards on to the cart path and watch it roll 150 yards down the hill and onto the fairway or similar as many times as possible!! ;-)

I didn’t use a buggy, choosing to walk and carry, which by day 3 was telling. Even with a buggy unless your pretty fit you may struggle as you can only use the carts on the cart paths.
The resort is great, gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, Ice bath was 10 Euros per visit but well worth it. Evening meal top quality buffet 25 Euros including a beer or wine.
I would jump at the chance to go back!!

Nice course, with some interesting holes. Excellent drainage as the course was in very good condition. Will defiantly play here again.

Where does one start? Well before the review a quick background as to how I came to play here. I was lucky enough to be invited on a corporate day, with 1 guest (Darren). We arrived at 10.00am to be meet at the car park, by a gentleman who took our bags etc, and informed us they would be waiting for us on the tee at our scheduled tee time. Once parked up we entered the reception to be handed a goodie bag and directed to the chnaging rooms, after which we would go upstairs for unlimited breakfast/coffee/tea. At 11 o'clock we had a debrief after which Darren and I Were approached to told there was good news, and bad news! The bad news was the other 2 ball we were paired with would not be joining us, the good news was we would play a 3 ball, with the club pro (Simon Head, Shead to friends, and now Darren and me). We were starting on the 10th and even at my age playing with a pro made my stomach churn, which resulted in a shocking 11 shots on the hole! Thankfully the round improved. The day ended with a 15 minute bunker session with another pro (Chris), followed by a bar-b-q etc.

The course is far too good for the likes of me, having viewed their web site, and seen the flyovers of each hole, it had scared the s*** out of me! Thankfully some holes aren't as bad as they looked. The course is amazing, with fringes in better condition than some greens I would normally play on. The bunkers are full of beautiful soft sand, the fairways, very smooth, and the rough ruthless, which with out guidance from Shead, I would never have got out of. The greens are unbelievably fast (Shead says they have a run rate of 10'). Great pratice facilities, the changing rooms are amazing (Darren and I were like 2 kids on Christmas morning when we entered them) excellent showers, curtious staff, great food I could go on all night about the day, and the course.

Fortunately our day was free; however, though the course is very expensive I think if you only play there once it is great value, just for that experience.

I'll leave Brigittte, do an indepth review, but for my two pence worth..... On arrival the car park is good, club house and shop more than adequate. The course is in really good condition, and a real challenge which it proved for all 8 of us. Some great views, challenging holes, all of which are pretty long ( even the par 3's).
We had this on a bargain 8 ball with coffee and bacon rolls for a meer £88!!

Will defiantly play here again.

I have played here before, but today is the best I have seen the course. The fairways, had been cut nicely, the rough was rough enough to penalise you, but not rough enough to make you loose balls. The greens were in very good condition. A course I will play again, but probably only on a 2 for 1 voucher, as its a bit over priced otherwise in my opinion.

Played after 36 hours rain, so the course was pretty wet (water logged in places). Some interesting holes, and some not so interesting. Quite challenging for a high handicapper. Very tight in places, and several holes over lap each other which I suspect could be quite dangerous when busy.

Will no doubt play again, but wouldn't risk a weekend.

Tight in some places, and a few out of bounds areas which cost me a few shots! Quite a few bunkers, and one really large one with an island in the middle (looks like it may have been a pond at one time).
Going back again next week and can't wait!

Quite a challenging course. Not a lot of room between tees, & greens on quite a few holes so keep your eyes peeled for stray balls! Having said this I would still play there again.

The course is in great condition.

It plays a lot harder than it looks (or maybe I had a bad day?) Some deep bunkers, and quite a lot of water in play. A lot of the greens are either up or down hill so putting is very hard.

Good value for money using the TSG 2 for 1 offer.

Even though its 40 miles each way will play again!!

First time I've played here, having read the official website description of the holes I was concerned but it prove fruitless, as the course is relatively open with nice fairways, and great greens. Well worth a visit, and will be back that's a certainty.

Not too difficult (just as well for me), lacks scenery but Ok for a quick game at short notice.
