worth a visit

played here a few years ago,and thought I would never play it again,as there were no words to describe how bad the course was.But,now I found it in very good condition,all round from tee to green.As the river runs through the course ,I think there are 9 holes where the river is in play and the decision has to be made as to lay up or go for it.its not a difficult course to walk.I for one will return

Parador de Malaga (Real Club Campo)

Well worth a visit

It's better known as Parador,it's approximately 1mile from Málaga airport and is the oldest course on the costa del sol,it can be called a links as about 6 holes run along the beach.it is a very flat course so is very easy to walk if you wish.The tees,fairways and greens are in excellent condition ,I will definitely be playing here again

Won't play there again

A new layout,not the best quality,a lot of blind shots,personally I feel there needs to be a lot of work done on the course,not my favourite and won't be returning.It appears that the practice area is run by American golf and you need to buy a minimum of I think it was 50 balls for £5.50,even if you only want to hit a few balls

Great course

La quinta is a 27 hole course,which I have played quite a few times and this time we were lucky enough to play b+c,which in my opinion makes the best 18.it is very hard to find any fault with this course.Every part of the course is fantastic,the greens summed up the quality of this course true and quick,a really good test of golf on a really really good course and I can't wait to play it again

El Chaparral Golf Club

Poor quality

Having played over 40 courses on the costa del sol and have played this course many times before.

However, I can't believe that this course is now in the most disgraceful condition of any course I have played on the costa, from tee box to greens conditions are very poor, the buggies.

The marshalls.and the club, in general, are a joke, I for one will never return to this course

there is not a lot I can say about this course that hasnt already been said.The course was in fantastic condition on every hole,from immaculate tees to true and fast greens,which were difficult to read,a great golfing experience,wouldI play it again.YOU BET

Course layout is very good,but condition of bunkers and tees is not the best and because of all the hills there are a lot of blind shots which even with a course planner is difficult to work out so take plenty of balls.Not a course that I would rush back to,unless staying close by,but definitely not worth a visit from the Malaga area

whitehill is a very well kept and laid out course,there are a lot of blind shots on the course so a course planner is advisable,i found the only fault was the bunkers,the quality of sand was indifferent,(even though i had no problems).I thought the greens were very good,a good pace and well cut.All in all a good days golf

it was my 1st time at batchwood,i thought the course had a good variety of holes,short,medium and long par 4"s and 3"s.I would like to play the course again when the large greens have been cut and rolled properly after the treatment has taken,as they look like they could be very interesting.At £20 for a weekend it was very good value

cabopino is not the longest of courses about 5,750yds,but it will give you a rough time if you dont respect it,in my opinion the jewel of the course is the par 4 3rd,all in all i would recomend playing it and i for 1 will return

Blakes Golf Club

Good course, well worth a visit

I have always liked the layout at Blakes, like a lot of value for money courses could be in better condition, is very much an inland links. The length of the holes does not always suit the not so big hitters, the greens were pretty good and true, all in all i will definitely be going back. The par 3 8th the island green is worth the visit alone

Santana is a very well designed course, lined by avocado trees on every fairway, fairways are very well kept and every hole is a thinking hole, even the par 3's, can't wait to play it again in November already booked for the bandits

Difficult course,worth a visit

Having played El Chapperell Golf Club many times in the past, the condition of the course was not as good as it has been.

Partly because of the ongoing feud that many of the courses are having with the local council over water rights.

Having said all this the greens are fairly quick but need work on them, fairways are ok, as preferred lies are a local rule. It is very much a thinking mans' track and local knowledge helps

this is a very tight course set in the hills of alhaurin,there are a few blind holes but there are also some stunning holes and views,the course was in fair to good condition and the greens were fast and tricky.well worth a visit a good test of golf.

first time i have played here,very well laid out course with very challenging greens,some of the fairways are quite wide but dont let that fool you as other dangers await,the semi is either bermuda grass or deep fluffy stuff typical of spain.the course is off the beaten track so staying at the hacienda(4*)is a thought

one of the easier courses on the coast,but still challenging,with the par 3 15th which has an island green.there is also a golf range adjacent to the 2nd tee,very friendly atmosphere at clubhouse,competition for anyone on mondays and fridays

the way the course is laid out reminds me of a typical costa del sol course.the course was in magnificent condition,greens were true,only critism was that the greens were a bit slow,the fairways and rough were spot on.i for one will be making another visit

this could be a real gem,but needs a lot of money spent on the course,bunkers are non existent ,very little sand but loads of stones and weeds.from what i can gather the drainage is dire.i would play there again to see what progress is being made

have played many courses now and have never played one without one rake in any bunker,as i went inseveral bunkers here inevitably found myself in a large footprint or paw marks.the greens were ok but quite slow,the rest of the course was quite bland,but would play again
