Worth playing.

Some stunning views - with the wind it made course tough and play long.

Unfortunately greens had been sanded that week so made putting difficult - would have given it a 4 but for the greens. They did give us a £10 discount each.

Practice areas were good - putting, chipping, bunker area and driving range.

Clubhouse pleasent and friendly staff.

Worth playing - great views

With the TSG discount this is great value, great views of the coast some tough holes with the wind - some par 3s were playing tough with wind going across!

Practice area is ok but you need to bring your own golf balls. There are nets and a putting green.

Clubhouse before game was friendly and pleasent but was surprised to find it shut when we finished round at seven o'clock on Friday evening.

Great course

Sweetwoods is a parkland course.

When you arrive, the new clubhouse shows this club has invested a lot.
Good pro shop with a large amount of goods to purchase. It also has a club fitting area.

Good practice range and putting area's.

Our green fee was £42 which included full English and 18 holes. Excellent breakfast - over looking the 18th hole - it was like being in the South of France!

Course:
Its a thinking golfers course. Tight fairways, deep bunkers, fast greens.
Loads of variety with dogleg holes, holes over water, ditches, driverable par 4 etc etc.
This course could easily have 5 signature holes. I could describe loads of excellent holes but will limit to 2. The 17th over water, up the hill to a two teared green is great. The 18th, the drive has to be pinpoint accurate due to tree in middle of sloping tree lined fairway at 220yds, sloping fairway left to right so anything right is in deep tree lined rough.

Well worth playing.

Plays long.
Great holes - all different. Great views.
Sand in bunkers not great in places but seems to be the case everywhere due to the weather we have had. Course in good condition - not muddy and bunkers clear of water.
No flat lies on this course.
Greens true, slightly slow!

Would I play again - yes.

Worth playing

This is a parkland course.
It has some tight holes and some water hazards as well.
Greens good.

Practice facilities good - driving range not long enough to use woods/driver. It has a practice chipping and bunker area as well as a putting green.

Service in Zest restaurant was great.

Will play again.

Practice facilities good although driving range was off mats and not long enough to use driver!
Difficult course with water in play, tight fairways. Some bunkers could do with better sand!
Greens quick and true.

Got to play this course

This course has a variety of different holes, from a par 3 of 240 yards to short par fours, long par 5s with doglegs, blind shots and rolling fairways. You need to place your ball in the right areas.
Well worth playing.

Was in great condition considering the rain we have had in last month.

Nice course but being updated!!

Played here 3 years ago so time to revisit.
Course is not long but is tight in places - have to think about correct club to hit rather than always smashing driver! Good layout with some dogleg holes. All par 3 are long.
£38 green fee for a Saturday would have been ok if not for the renovation work being done on a number of holes.
Will be great when finished.
Club house nice and friendly staff.
Would I go back - yes once course has been updated.

Great value for money!

High Elms is a nice pay and play course.
No driving range but did have short game area and putting green.
Bunkers have sand, fairways are often undulating, some blind tee shots.
Greens ok but a bit patchy in places which made putting difficult.
Played under a deal for £32 of Coffee, bacon and egg roll, 18 holes followed by lunch of burger and chips + a cold drink/beer. Great value deal.

Would I play again...yes with the hope that the greens improve.

Good value

Horton has good practice facilities with a full driving range and putting area.
Price was good as it included full English breakfast.
Course is ok, a large number of holes seem to be next to each other [you would go up one and back down the other].
Best hole is 10th with Island green.
Greens were good - true and medium speed.

Worth playing - tricky greens

Epsom golf course is short but tight.
Only remember spotting two bunkers both round the 18th. Don't be fooled, the greens are its defense.
Undulating, tricky to read and very fast - remember we are only in early March.

Did not like some of the holes crossing each others fairways.

Would I play again - yes in the summer just to see what its like to putt on glass!

Would I play course again - yes. Hospitality NO!

Nice course.
Water comes into on 2 holes.
Some doglegs and an interesting stroke index 1 with second shot dropping down about 50 yards.
I would play course again.

I would not go back for the friendly staff!

They said we had not all paid for green fees....this went on for a while and poor Daniel took the brunt as he had booked game. Assumed guilty by staff who said quote "we have not got this wrong, you have not all paid". We had though as we all proved by way of receipt for credit card payments and by those that paid cash as well as all had score cards which you could only get once paid.
Even starter said 2 would not be able to play as we had not all paid!!
They had got it wrong!
Very nice customer service - would not be planning to go back for this reason.

Worth a visit.

27 holes split into nines [Kings/Queens/Princes].
Played Championship course [Kings/Queens] is very good.
Front nine slightly more open than back nine.
Some tight holes and doglegs.
Nice 600 plus yard hole near the end of the round.
Greens were fast. Fairways ok but in need of water!!!
Clubhouse is good.
Would I play again....absolutely.

Slinfold Park is a nice course.
Has a number of dogleg holes both ways [left to right and right to left].
It also has water on some holes although some of it should not come into play unless you hit a really bad shot.
Some tight fairways.
Rough was harsh.....if you miss the fairway you were 80% likely to lose the ball!!
Nice clubhouse. Good practice facilities with a driving range, putting green, chipping and bunker practice area as well.
Well worth playing.

Dale Hill - two great courses shame about the weather

Played here on an overnight package Friday 17th/Saturday 18th June.

Venue and accomodation are excellent.

Dale Hill Course - short at 5500 yards off yellows but many tree lined fairways. Tight driving holes in middle of round. Really nice course. Held up well in torential rain all day which made course play long.

Ian Woosnam course - newer course just over 6000 yards off yellows. Have to have buggies, no carrying or trolleys allowed. More open although there are some very tight holes. Some really great looking holes especially some of the par 3s. Par 4 9th dog leg right over valley is great as is the treelined 17th which is a left to right sloping fairway that runs down dogleg right to protected green reminded me of 11th at Augusta, only difference being that that runs right to left. Played mighty long in rain drenched Saturday but held up well.

Great courses. Venue great. Cost well excellent as it was through work and I did not pay for a thing all weekend.....lucky me on that but weather could have been better.

Fast greens. Nice fairways.

Practice facilities and club house is excellent.

Both courses are well worth playing.

The Arden course

Great course.

Greens were fast and true.

Front 9 different to back 9 ......... front 9 more tree lined. Back 9 harder than front with the added attraction of deer!
A number of signature holes including the par 3 18th over water to the green in front of the club house.

Great venue well worth staying and playing like we did.

Laleham in December

Played here with "TSG". Event creator is a member so we got a great guest rate of £15.

Course was playing well considering it was minus 4 overnight and only +2 during the afternoon. Greens were consistant considering they were fairly hard due to the frost.

Fairly open fairways although you could get stuck behind trees!! Bunkers hard but the sand was good. Water in play on two holes and some doglegs.

I would recommend this course, it's worth a visit.

Gatton Manor

This course is well worth playing.

During the week they take 2 fore 1s so the value is excellent.

It has a very interesting layout and a number of different hole features.

Greens are always true.
