A good walk and track to play. Very good views and a higher end type course. Greens were fine, fairways were good. Some tough holes, and good variety. It's top elite but it's not average. Worth playing and I am going back next week.

Unfortunately the course was still under repair from badger nuisance, so this review is diminished from my side and no fault of the course. Hospitality was excellent, course layout and walk good, just those badgers need sorting. Would love to go back when sorted.

1st hole is tough as are a few par 4s, but that's the way a golf course should be. Great walk & venue, fairways, bunkers, greens all of a high standard. The maturity of the course is perfect, and I totally enjoyed the whole experience.

Maybe I am biased, but East London, Essex folk are just the most polite, funny all resulting in a good crack.

The hospitality, food and facilities were just terrific.

I will visit again, and again and again.

Great views, in very good condition, really enjoyed the whole experience. Golf holes were different and challenging - not too difficult to work. The town itself is so clean, good restaurants and even without the golf well worth a visit.

1st time here, cannot believe I have never played here before. Quite simply I cannot fault any part of the experience, this is the only time I have given a course a top rating. I play lots of nice courses, but the reason for the high ranking was down to the quality of the greens, the variety of holes (many memorable), the walk, the beautiful trees, bla bla bla. For me the best value, compared to the elite, like so good. When I start my own society, this is 200% on the playing list.

Enjoyed my day, so impressed with how far the course has come since 25 years ago, when I played it last.

Yes it's Winter, but the fairways and overall standard was very good.

I will be a regular visitor.

Mature parkland course, with a great variety of holes. Nice track, very good place to enjoy the game. Yes winter rules have kicked in but you would not know as it was pretty firm. If I lived closer I would join, not too long, so probably very popular with many.

Course was fine, been good weather recently, so most are.

Hospitality was very good, its OK.

Course is in very good condition, the greens were very good. They do look after this place, and a lot of work going on, so will be even better in a few months and next year.

Bar person a little grumpy, pretty sure I will be also later in life, lol.
Catering staff & food was very nice, brilliant.

Its not long, but some nice holes, especially the Par 3s and a few others, so its not up there with the Elite, but at £100 for visitors its probably about right (£85 would be better).

If you have not played here, its 100% worth playing if its within your budget.

My society go back every year, so once a year is enough for me.

A lot of at the minute, but that does not affect the look and feel of the course.

Some tough holes, and a course that if you visit once needs to be played again.

Probably played the course too early in golf season as it was not in good nick, hence the 2. The holes were not trimmed and a lot for the course was rough. Hopefully a month from now it's better as I will be back and hopefully give it a higher score.

That said it looks like there is an attempt to improve the course as I could see lots of work going on. Also the course layout is not boring, the holes are different and as a golf course it looks a nice course, so looking forward to playing it again in the summer.

Lets see how they do this spring and summer, like I said I will play it again.

Played a society day here just yesterday. Fantastic venue, for societies and all golfers. The venue has had lots of investment over the years and the changes are making this place better each year. The food was very good (set menu), and the staff from the pro shop to reception and restaurant were of the highest quality.

Like so many of the courses in this part of the UK, even with so much rain, the fairways were ok, and the greens were very good. It's not one of the elite and would struggle to get into the top 100, but who knows, if they keep this up? That said the greens were undulating and quirky, which helped with the playing experience.

If you are in a society, I would strongly recommend you visit this venue.

Pleasantly surprised, very good practice facilities and Club House. 27 hole course and would recommend playing all of them. Greens in good nick. Overall pretty good golfing experience.

Had no expectations, turned up, starting my round feeling rushed, my fault for turning up late. As I went from hole to hole was not sure , but the fairways were very good as were the greens. I noticed a bad review from a couple of weeks back from someone moaning about the condition of the course, but having played a bit this year, I was pleasantly surprised, like in a really good way. It mentions on the write up some signature holes and the long par 5, so normally you cant always remember the nice holes, but I can assure you this course is memorable and in great condition. I cannot wait to get back, like a proper treat, the back 9 is terrific.

Played with a member, really enjoyed the course and the holes. Fairways ok, greens pretty good - the overall scenery is great, like a really good walk around. They say its better in the summer, so overall I would be happy to come back. I paid £40 as a guest, not sure £50 is where I want to be at, but curious to know how the other course is also.

Nicely laid out, very good facilities. Every hole was pleasant on the eye, its a strange one this course, because I cannot remember any signature holes, but is just felt fantastic playing it. I loved it, fairways were good, greens were fantastic, I am trying to play different courses before I get old, but I enjoyed this course so much I will be returning and playing it again this year and few times more. Deserves a much higher ranking than what it has.

An absolute privilege to play here, the entire experience and hospitality at this course is amazing. I have never given 5* to any courses I have reviewed, but from the start to finish the staff were brilliant, in pro shop, bar, restaurant, course, like everywhere.

A magnificent course, just a pleasure to play. Scenery was amazing, each hole beautifully presented and maintained. Green keeper came over from Sunningdale and is now spreading some magic at Worplesdon. Greens were excellent, fairways in very good condition and drained very well after a week of rain. Every hole was just a delight to walk and play, the par 3s were tough, this is a proper track. It was a society day and very enjoyable. The staff in pro-shop were excellent, big shout out to Wendy, polite and attentive. The staff in catering though were a little abrupt, and we felt somewhat rushed, which was a little off putting, that said the golfing experience and quality of the course superseded all expectations.

OMG, I loved this course. Each hole was different, a lot were quirky and interesting. The layout, scenery and walk was terrific, so lovely to walk around. Some undulations, and for high handicap players ok to navigate around, for lower handicap players changeling enough, a very good track. No simple par 3s, and all presented beautifully, lovely variations on the par 4s going left, right, straight, dog legs etc. Par 5s have good distance. Traps and bunkers well placed all around.The overall maintenance is ok, and some good effort has been made on the paths and the surrounding areas.

Club professionals John, Ian and Joseph very welcoming, and accommodating. The club is nearly a 100 years old and there are rumours Horsham Council are not keen to keep it open, that said it you can visit up to the end of 2023 and I think 2024. The course I am told is not great in the rain when soggy, but then many are not. In the summer, WOW, cannot think of many others I would keep playing. Just my opinion, but this is going into my top 10, and I will visit as often as possible. To all fellow TSG members, you must play this course, spread the word, you will not be disappointed. This course must not close, like never, it would be sacrilege and just an unnecessary loss.

Was a guest in a society, course was in very good condition, greens were great, layout very nice. Quite tough, but fair. A really enjoyable experience playing here, would strongly recommend to all. Food at clubhouse was excellent, and facilities were excellent. It is pricey, so for those who can afford it, marvellous, for those who struggle, save up and treat yourself to a great day out.

Like so many courses, rain needed. Once they all turn green again it will be a nice test here. Fair course with some challenging holes. Looks like a lot of work happening, so be interesting to play this next year.

Although flat, a course that has different types of holes, good mix, not the worse, not the best, will I play here again, yes I will.

Mature well kept course. A good with great views and a variety of good holes pleasing in the eye. Might not seem long, but if you walk it, you know about it. Don’t let the amount of Par3s put you off, this will be a course I play every year, really enjoyed it.

Great views, very nice greens, interesting course with different holes, and some that you will remember. Definitely on my list to play every year. Had no expectations, but very good value.

Noticed previous comments on how easy this course is, yes it is. If playing well you will smash 40+ points on Stableford. Course was pretty good, enjoyable , short and a pleasant round of golf overall.

Overall this has always been a good course, good value, tough to score big points here.
Worth playing.

Like many clubs in April still work being done but overall in good nick. Great views and interesting holes, I liked it and will be playing there again.

Enjoyed every hole, that’s a testimonial to how nice this course is. Greens were fast, and testing, which makes it a good test. The staff in pro shop, bar and everywhere were so friendly. Really looking forward to going back.

Good condition, nice views, for a links course there’s some good variety. A tough challenge for all levels. Greens were great, and I will be playing this quite often. Really enjoyed it.
